I wonder how often that prayer/meditation ends up being more for the person rather than the deity. Simply being able to remove that stress and tension and, "place it on $DEITY", instead of letting it weigh on your mind and body MUST affect your healing and maintenance.

Perhaps the greatest gift that prayer gives is a coping mechanism for mental peace. Whether $DEITY interacts or not with the supplicant's situation may not matter so much as the affect it has one someone who has let go of the control of the uncontrollable.

You postis interesting, and I have had several of the same thoughts. But I am also reminded by the words of Jesus, "why worry about tomorrow?"

Certainly there is plenty to worry about today, and there is where I live out the struggle. Tomorrow has its share of problems and possibilities, but there is enough for today already.

Good post!

Hi - very good web site you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to publish a remark to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with computers and am attempting to learn code in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).

I have been anxiously waiting for the announcement too, as I have been holding out getting an Iphone due to the Verizon rumor. I think the other possible announcement would be a re-up with AT&T depending on negotiations between the 3 companies.

The Slate though I think will be essentially a big Iphone that runs Mac programs, but we will see shortly!

Justin, Great to hear there are other Lost fans out there!! I like your theories - you got me thinking about Richard, do you think that perhaps if Richard dies there is no more lost island? Is he that important?

Hey Joe,

I too am a huge Lost fan. I, like every Lost fan, have a few theories. My big one is that a lot is going to revolve around Hurley. Of course, I could be wrong, but he seems to be the only one that was kind of innocent when he came to the island. Everyone had some kind of evil in their past, but Hurley, so he is going to be key.

I also think that Locke has been dead since he fell out of the window and Jacob is the one who cause the loophole. This, of course means that not only Locke has been duped, but also Ben Linus. Linus has been just as duped as Ben has into doing what Jacob wanted.

I also think we are going to get a smoke monster flashback. The producers have wanted to do one, I think it will happen.

Finally, I think Richard (who cannot die) is going to die. We will see Richard's story and then death to Richard, after all with Jacob dead, everything changes.

[...] I have thought about time travel before. The answer to time travel may not make or break the show. The answer to time travel will not resolve the season five the cliffhanger. But it is an important part of the show. Lost has presented us with various themes over the years and one of the themes is time travel. This is interesting on so many levels, but in the end it boils down to the question: [...]
