This is a question I like to ask my friends who have an iphone. I have checked out different apps that people have to see if I like them and if I would find them useful. Right now I have about 100 apps on my phone. The way I have things set up that equals to about 8 pages of apps. Here is how I have them broken down.

This is a question I like to ask my friends who have an iphone. I have checked out different apps that people have to see if I like them and if I would find them useful. Right now I have about 100 apps on my phone. The way I have things set up that equals to about 8 pages of apps. Here is how I have them broken down.

Page 1 – The top apps that I use on a daily basis

Page 2 – Apps that on a semi-regular basis

Page 3- Again, apps that I use on a semi-regular basis

Page 4 and 5 — Games

Page 6-7 – Apps that are more “fun” apps that might pose themselves useful in certain situations

Page 8 - Apps that are installed by apple that I will most likely never use (stocks, clock, you tube, ect)

That’s how it is broken down for me. I would like to share the most useful apps for me, the ones that I use on a daily basis on my home screen.

Contacts — I considered moving this to the last page on my iphone because I am not sure how often I use it vs going to the phone app on the bottom of the phone. But for now I will keep it where it is at.

Calendar - I would be lost without my calendar app. I also need to make sure that I add things in there — otherwise I can very easily double-book myself. Right now I have my calendar synced with my Google Calendar directly.

Facebook - Need I say more? I love facebook and I am on there all the time thanks to my Facebook app.

Weight Watchers Mobile- My wife and I recently joined up with weight watchers - I don’t think I would keep track of my points if it was not for this app. This app is the main reason that I signed up for Weight Watchers.

Byline - This is my mobile blog RSS reader. This syncs up nicely with my Google Reader. Right now I subscribe to 89 blogs (I will try and update my link page to reflect that soon).

Maps- I used this all the time before I got my GPS. Since my iPhone is the first generation (2G) the GPS capability for my phone is not as good as the 3G or 3Gs. In a pinch I still will use this app.

Tweetdeck – This app is my go to mobile Twitter app. I like how it syncs with my desktop version.

Evernote - I love the concept of Evernote and I am trying to use it to its full potential. Recently I found a great blog post on Evernote at The 2.0 Life. This has really helped me in my search for the best way to use Evernote.

Olive Tree NASB Bundle – This is my Bible Reader of choice. Olive Tree is a great company for anything that has to do with religious mobile readers. This is the most expensive app that I bought (because I got the NRSV bundle) but it is well worth it, as a pastor I use it all the time.

Camera – The camera in the iphone isn’t the great but it is better than nothing.

Messages – I use this for text messages…duh! I can’t wait until I am able to use the MMS messages (when I get the 3GS)

PocketMoney - I use this to keep track of my expenses on the run. This is a great companion with YNAB.

IPod - My iPod – I have some of my favorite songs and videos on here.

GuitarToolkit - I use this all the time with my guitar. It is a great tuner and chord finder.

Sirius - I love Sirius Radio. I love how Sirius Radio is on the iPhone, I would love it even more if I could listen to the Patriots on my iPhone.

Then on the bottom of my phone I have the apps I use most often:

Phone — Duhh, it IS a phone you know

Mail - I am obsessed with my email, so this works nicely for me

Safari - I use Firefox on my desktop but this is a great way to surf the web on the run

reQall - I used Remember The Milk for a long time as my Todo app. But a friend told me about reQall and I think it is great. I especially love how I can add my todo’s with a voice recorder.

Waaay back in 2003 a little company called AT&T took a chance on me. They gave me a cell phone plan. It was not the greatest plan but it worked for us. We stuck with them through thick and thin. In February 2004 AT&T took bids to buy the company and Cingular won. That was okay…..I guess….It really did not affect us at all, we actually got roll over minuets. We were happy with it. In 2007 the name of the cell phone company went back to AT&T. Lots of the “extras” that Cingular gave us stayed with AT&T.

You don’t know how excited I was when I heard that AT&T was the exclusive carrier of the iphone. It took me about a year to be able to get the iphone. Actually it was not until after the 3G came out tha I was able to buy the first generation from an ebay sale.

That was fine. I did not mind not having the 3G speed – and the GPS feature that the 3G had. It was not until I started having problems with my iphone that I started getting frustrated with AT&T. I brought my phone in to see if it could get fixed and I had no luck. I decided to upgrade. I heard that since I was an iphone user that I could upgrade with no problems. Well that is true if you got your iphone BEFORE the 3G came out…..even though I have been a customer of AT&T for the last 5 years!!!!!

I can’t sync my iphone with my computer which is frustrating, be even more frustrating is reading this article from engadget:

“Been holding on to that now-antique EDGE device to keep from extending your contract with AT&T? Well, if you’ve been experiencing some sluggishness — and not just general EDGE sluggishness, mind you — you might have more to blame than just those recent outages. Open for Business reports that AT&T has been quietly lowering EDGE signal strength to give more 3G love to all you iPhone 3G and Bold users. To add to the shadiness of the situation, AT&T reps are all offering up the same solution — buy a 3G device. Unsurprisingly, AT&T’s Mark Siegel has denied Open for Business’s claims, and says that the mega-carrier is not requiring anyone to switch to a 3G phone. We’ll put on our Sherlock Holmes outfits and try to do some digging, but it’s not like we actually expect these guys to admit to a move that would definitely lead to a lot of backlash.”

Not only is my phone not working, and I can’t get a break on the new 3G phone (only because mine is not working) but now they are basically ignoring the Edge network to spend more time on the 3G network. That is understandable to some degree because that is the future. HOWEVER there are a number of us still using edge and we need reliable phone service as well!!!

News like this almost makes me want to ditch AT&T and try out the new Palm Pre

Everyone has certain things that they love or enjoy. I am a Mac lover — I love the Mac Computers and I hope that one day I can incorporate many of the wonderful Apple products into my home. Here is why I love the Mac….

I remember as a kid having an Apple IIe computer. I was not real impressed at that time. The biggest reason is that I had a friend who had a 3D chess game that was animated and that was SO COOL!!!!! I must say I was jealous. But like most things I got over it……Eventually as I got older we got different computers in the house- we moved into the PC world. I think because they were convinent and they were cheaper.

I never had too many complaints about the PC – I hated (and still hate) the anti virus software that seems to cripple the computer most time. However, I like the convinence of getting a PC, I like the games and the price. With that I knew that every 3 or 4 years I would have to replace my computer.

When I went to work as a full time youth director in 2002, the church I worked at had all Mac. Again, I was not impressed with the Mac. At that point they were running OS9 — it was not hard to figure out but it was not something that I had been using for most of my life. I had to figure out what I was doing and it was not very much fun.

Plus, if I emailed myself something that I was working on at home then I could not read it from my desktop computer. The one thing that kept drawing me back to the Mac was the church musician. He was a Mac lover and he kept talking about how great they were – he said that OSX was so much better than the OS9 — but I had no idea what he was talking about.

Eventually we talked more and he was telling me about how easy it was to record music onto a Mac using a program called garageband. I was interested because I was looking for something to record my guitar on.

When I left for seminary in 2004 I knew I needed to upgrade my computer – and I knew that I wanted a laptop so I gave in and I got a Powerbook G4 from Apple.

I must say that I did fall in love with the Mac computer. Within hours I was recording songs- making DVD’s and surfing the web using the wireless network. That computer lasted me four years of seminary which included destruction from me and my son. I still would be using it if I did not accidently put dents in it the power source and actual keys ripped off by my son.

I am sad to say that currently we are Macless — my wife and I are using laptop PC’s and our son has a PC desktop in his room. This makes me sad but that’s the way of life right now. The bright side is that I did find a used iPhone for a GREAT price on Ebay. So it keeps me in the Mac world.

I am looking forward to getting a Mac Mini as our desktop computer and then getting a macbook as my all around computer. I can’t wait to get Apple TV to stream itunes movies and music right to our TV. I know that one day we will have techonology centered house powered by Mac. Perhaps I am dreaming but that would be just awesome.

Until then I can enjoy my iphone and enjoy videos like the ones below from the Simpsons.

This post is not about the Philadelphia Phillies winning the world series, even though I do believe that was a great feat….

Last week my family went to Vermont to visit the newest member of my family, my little neice who was born at the end of September. We were excited to get away for a little bit and to connect with my family.

We arrived on Thursday night with no major trouble. The next morning while we were having breakfast and reading the Rutland Herald we realized that Friday night was the Rutland High vs Mount Saint Joseph football game!! Now for those of you who are not familiar with this football game I will explain.

If you ever wanted a good high school football rival game this is it….for years these two teams play one another and even though one team might be better than another, it doesn’t matter for this game.

I remember playing in this game throughout high school – my class was 4-0 during our years of playing. We won our senior year 24-22.

Well needless to say this is a big event in the city of Rutland — I would dare to guess there was 800-1000 people lining the football field on a cold Friday night.

I was excited to go to this game, I have not been since I played in the game. Rutland was up 31-0 at half time and the kids were getting tired so we decided to leave. I pull out my iphone and take a few pictures and put it in my coat pocket.

I start to carry baby girl out and we are stopped by the team running to the locker room. My high school football coach sees me and greets me with a warm smile and says hi to the boy and then moves on.

We make it home and I went to pull out my phone to charge it up — only — it is gone. I went to check my coat, and it is not there….I move to the car and I look everywhere and it is no where to be found.

I freak out but I know there is nothing I can do. I try to sleep but it is hard, I am upset about what happened and I am upset at myself letting it happen.

The next day my wife and I go back to the field with the slim hope that it turns up….but our effort was fruitless.

We make our way back to NY and try to move on with our life…..

I know, I know there are bigger tragities in life than losing your phone. But this is an iphone, it has my calendar and contacts, it has the little things that make my life happy. It is something that I turn too all the time and I enjoy using it. Perhaps only those with iphones can relate……

Well I get an email Saturday night that someone found my phone. I was elated and after a few emails my phone is returned to my parents.

The person who found it said he found it face down in the dirt and the only reason he saw it was a white Apple sticker that is on the back of my case. He took it home and cleaned it up and then went through the phone to find who it belongs too and he emailed me.

I can’t say how thankful I am that he found it and was kind enough to return it too me.

It gives me hope that this happened — it gives me hope that there are still people in the world who take the time and effort to find something and return it to the original owner.

I do believe that it is a miracle that this happened and I am thankful for it.

This week has been amazing!

My week started out pretty normally. However there was excitement in the air. I knew that there were two big events coming up for me. The first was that on Tuesday I pick up the first generation iphone. Let me say that I LOVE IT! I had trouble setting it up. That was my own stupid fault because I left the previous owners sim card in it. But once I got my sim card in it I was able to activate it and start using it. I am still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles but I love it. The phone has almost everything I could ever want in a portable device. I think I would love to have the 3G speed and more importantly the GPS navigation but I am very, very satisfied. (plus I am not locked in for another two years before I can upgrade to version 3 of the iphone!!!

The bigger of the events this week was my ordination last night. I must say I am still in awe of the whole service. To be a part of an ordination is special to be the one who is ordained is priceless. To have the gathered church body around me in celebration of all my accomplishments and the ministry that is before me is just awesome. I know that I am lucky where the two biggest ceremonies in my life (wedding and ordination) have gone without a hitch. It was pure celebration and excitement.

I found out this morning that my picture along with an interview was in today’s local paper. It is also online for those who would like to read it. I love the title of the articles.

Amidst all the craziness I have spent more time getting ready for my ordination and now I feel more free to focus my energy on getting to know the people of St. Mark’s and to expand upon my ministry here.

So the time is close approaching where I will be an iPhone owner. After a year and a half of research, blog reading and general oooing and ahhing I have committed to a purchase of a first generation iphone.

This purchase will be a birthday/anniversary gift from my wife. I am sure Christmas is in there as well.

I would love to go to the second generation iphone or a “3G” as us experienced iphone geeks would say — However, I am not eligible until February for an “upgrade” so instead of paying the insiders price of $199.00 I would have to pay $399.00 which would be for the 8gig phone.

I found a Syracuse college student selling his first generation iphone on ebay. I emailed him offline hoping that I would be able to convince him to sell his phone for the price of a 3G 8 gig and it worked!!! He tried to get more money out of me, I don’t know if he realized that he could get twice that on ebay or if he wanted his money early but that did not work.

So we are meeting him on Tuesday night, I am SO excited. I will hopefully be able to convert everything over at the mall where we are meeting him and then sit through a Christian Ed meeting until I can come home and play with my new phone. I am not sure how much sleep I will get Tuesday night.

Until then I will be downloading music onto my computer. I hopefully will be able to put a few movies on it as well.

The biggest difference I see between the first and second generation iphones is the 3G speed. That does not matter to me too much at this point because the web browsing itself will be better from my treo 650 and the GPS. I would LOVE GPS on my phone but I have done pretty well with google maps and I will be okay with that until the next generation iphone comes out.

Well Back to downloading music……

Parents are outraged by the school system for banning cellphones. I also saw a report on the Today show where they are going nuts because the parents want to be in touch with the kids at all times (because of 9/11) and the kids want to text message their friends, but schools don’t want kids to have cell phones because it can be a distraction. This morning they were saying that kids are getting so good at texting they don’t need to look at the phone to do it. They can text message through their clothes or even while their hands are in their pockets!!! I don’t know if they are worried more about the distraction that it causes or about how kids can “cheat” by texting answers to one another.
I think text messaging is here to stay and cell phones are becoming more and more prevalent with kids. It is hard to imagine a 6 or 7 year old taking a cell phone to first grade but I am sure we will get to that point. I have seen kids as young as 4th grade with cell phones and they all think that they “need” it. Of course I want and “need” the latest and greatest cell phone. My treo is broken and I don’t know what to do. I feel lost without having my schedule right there with me. I transferred everything to ical on my Mac but I can’t carry that around with me all the time. I think I will have it more and more often once school starts but those times when I need to schedule something quick I will want my palm. I think I am going to hold out on getting a new smart phone until I save enough money for an iphone. That’s the next unit I want to get. So I hope that I can get a $30 phone with no bells and whistles and I will use paper scheduling or find a really cheap palm until the beauteous iphone will be mine.

I have not seen this but I would not be surprised if there are a number of people text messaging in church. If the sermon goes too long and they lose interest they could zone out and instead of counting the ceiling tiles like I use to do, they can talk with their friends. But who knows they could be having a theological discussion “omg this srmen iz kol, petr iz te man, baptiz iz gud” I don’t know if that is right in textize but I wrote – “oh my goodness (because using God there in a text in church would not be good) this sermon is so cool, peter is the man, baptism is good” I doubt that’s what their conversation would consist of but who knows.

Using cell phone in your ministry might not be too far off. We could text people if church is cancelled on a snowy Sunday morning, or remind our council members that there is a meeting that night. Or we could do like the Pope and send a daily text message to the people of the church.
I know embarrassing technology is something we are all going to have to come to terms with. It is here and it is not going anywhere. We cannot expect the church to do the same thing as it has done for the last fifty years and expect to grow. Accessing your schedule, phone, Bible, mp3′s movies, sermon notes, address book, directions, reminders, to do list all on one device is not such a bad thing and for people like me it helps keep me organized. I think that is one of my biggest frustrations with having my treo go bad. I, for the first time in my life was semi-organized. I did not miss an appointment all year during internship and if I was late for something it was because I did not look at my device not because I did not have it in there.

So how do we take advantage about this ever changing technology? Are we ready to do it?

We took the dive last night. We started our journey to vegetarianism– well perhaps not total vegetarianism, but now we are going to try and have one dinner a week (the only meal we eat together) where we will not eat meat. I don’t want to give up that protein so we will find other alternatives. Now in the grand scheme of things we do that from time to time. It happens around pasta — where we will eat Spaghetti and we don’t always need meat with that, but this will be more intentional and I hope that better eating habits will come out of it.

So last night I made veggie meatloaf. It was actually pretty good.

Here is the recipe:
1C Sliced carrots
3/4 onion
garlic
3/4 c catsup
1/3 C breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
2 12 oz package of meatless ground burger

I basically put the carrots, onion and garlic in the magic bullet and then combined everything else and put it in the oven. I cooked it for 45 min at 350.

Now it turned out good (even though I was told that the meatless ground burger was gross) and we liked it. We had mashed potatoes with it and corn. Granted it finished cooking at 7:45 and I was at a church council meeting. So Katie took it out of the oven and I ate when I came home. But I liked it a lot and Katie was very surprised because she liked it too. So I hope to keep this up, so we need something else that has been time tested so please let me know if you have something for us to try.

—————————————————–

I want an iphone more now than ever. I think my Treo 650 is dying. A few days ago my screen went blank on my Treo – I had to restart it a few times before it came back on. I was nervous but then I was okay. I took it to the AT&T store and they said unless I brought it in with it not working there was nothing the could do. I left a little frustrated but feeling okay (on top of everything else my 1 year warranty is gone). Well yesterday, I did not charge my phone overnight. So it was running out of battery power, I tried to charge it in the car but it would not charge – so my phone “died” — again I did not know what to do with myself, I could not check my e-mail (I was expecting some) and I could not make phone calls (which I needed to do) I felt hopeless, lost and I was devastated. (Okay maybe I am overreacting a bit). I decided to come home, charge it and the world would be right again. Well it would not charge at home either!!! I tried and tried but there was nothing I could do to charge it. I was even more frustrated and I was planning on going back to the AT&T store to see what I can do. I don’t know if it is my battery (I have the original) or my Treo or what. All I know is that I feel that my days are somewhat limited with my Treo and I need a plan.
I would love to get the iphone, but I know we don’t have the money for that and I even though there are plenty of people happy with the first version of the iphone I want to wait to see when version 2 comes out (I am thinking close to Christmas time) or at least when the first update for the iphone comes out and I want to see what they add.

—————————————————–

I have been making progress on my Approval Essay. I think I have 2 out of the 5 sections done. I still have a lot of work, but I am working at D&D the rest of the week so I can work up to midnight before I go drive and that will give me a solid 4 hours a night to work on it. If I get one section done a night I will get everything done to send to Tom by Saturday. Then I can finish my other paper over the weekend and I will be good for my trip. I will bring them with me to read and go over but I won’t worry about bringing resources to write.

__________________________________________________

Well this is a good place to stop – off to the gym!!

Scripture
Ecclesiastes 1:2, 12-14; 2:18-23
Psalm 49: 1-12
Luke 12:13-21

Sermon

Grace, mercy and peace to you from God our Father and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN.

I had a poster on my wall when I was a kid of Garfield the cat. Behind Garfield in the distance was a mansion, it had lots of new cars and toys – under the picture it read

“the one who dies with the most toys wins”

I don’t share this because I think that this is the lesson that Jesus wanted to teach us today– infact it is the complete opposite.

The gospel lesson is broken down into two distinct parts. The first part is someone from a crowd surrounding Jesus comes to him with a dispute about his families inheritance – the second part is a parable; a parable that Jesus tells in order to further explain his response to the crowd.

The dispute that is posed to Jesus was a simple one. There was a disagreement over the family inheritance – the one brother thought he deserved more of the inheritance. It was customary in the time of Jesus for all the inheritance to go to the eldest child. It was not necessary for the father to split up the inheritance between all his children, but it was allowed.

Jesus’ answer to this man is that Jesus is not here to cast judgment upon the situation. That was not Jesus’ mission here on Earth, he did not come to judge or condemn us – Jesus came to tell us about the wonderful love, grace and forgiveness of God. Jesus came to save us – not to judge us.

This person might of been thinking only about himself and how he wanted more, how he thought he was entitled to more. He wanted Jesus to turn around and tell him that he was right and that he deserves more. But Jesus instead turned around and said that life is not about possessions, it is not about the things we have, it is more than that, it is about God’s love for us and God will provide everything we need.

We have seen this throughout scriptures from Moses leading the Hebrew People through the red sea and God provided manna from Heaven to Jesus feeding the 5000 people on a hillside with two fish and five loaves of bread. God provided enough for all those people with some food left over

The need that the man has can be seen as greed and greed can never be satisfied He could inherit majority of his fathers possessions and he still may not be happy. When it comes to material things we may always want the newest and the latest– we have seen that even today.

This summer people were lining up –even camping overnight for the new iphone, and the new Harry Potter Book. Even the Philadelphia Mayor was in line at 3:00am to make sure he had the latest and the greatest.

Recently We saw a man get shot in Putnam, Connecticut because the robber wanted the new playstaion three.

All for the latest and greatest, not only to have them but to be the first to do so.

We see this pattern start in young children, when we take our children to Toys R Us it will not take long for that child to run from aisle to aisle wanting the any toy he can get his hands on
perhaps this comes from internal conditioning from outside forces.

However, if you take that same child to church on a Sunday, they may seem less comfortable than in the toys R us store. Our society has become a vast supermarket where we are trained in desire.

I want this, I want that.

We are being possessed by possessions and perhaps we are leading the race of owning the most toys.

Now I can’t stand up here without a confession. I too am a gadget geek, if I had the opportunity, I would have the iphone.

I have also fallen prey to J. K. rowlings Harry Potter……… And Sometimes I think my son’s head is going to explode from the excitement when he runs into a toys store. These feelings don’t make us a bad person, but it is what we do with the feelings and our possessions.

As we read the words of Jesus’ message in today’s gospel, questions do arise for me.

Do we want more than what we have?

Where do we place the value of our possessions?

These are some of the questions that I know would be hard for anyone to answer.

To start we can go back to the first of Ten Commandments, you should have no other Gods before me. The gospel today may expose our inner voice and that voice asks us to take a look at our own lives and determine where we place the value of our possessions.

What would our answer be?

But then– how do we become rich towards God instead of the world?

The first chapter of Lukes Gospel tells us “God has filled the hungry with good things…” Being rich towards God is being open to God’s love – to be hungry, needy, people – and letting God give us what we need rather than us trying to secure it on our own.

God has chosen us and we can celebrate that!!

Instead of us lining up outside Wal-mart, Borders, or the Apple store waiting for the newest and the latest to be released. Imagine a world where people are camping outside our church waiting for the doors to open on a Sunday morning
lining up to hear the good news of Christ!!

Even though products might run out, one day there may be no more playstations, or iphones left to buy, but God’s love will never run out for us. That’s a promise made to us in our baptism.

In Baptism we are claimed as daughters and sons of God through no effort of our own. We are baptized into the death and resurrection of the Lord who was crucified on the cross on our behalf.

He became poor to save us from sin, and death. He died so we could live abundantly.

The baptized life is a daily reminder of this love, and we continue to live in that love even as we chase the latest gadget released on the market. The daily waters of baptism is a chance for us to lose our old selves and to be reborn children of God. We are able to get rich by seeing our lives through God’s eyes.

And that can happen everyday. Martin Luther once said whenever we wash our face or take a shower we are reminded about our baptism it is a daily reminder which is a treasure

And we have the greatest treasure of all. We are loved and cherished by God and our inheritance is heaven and that cannot not be bought there is no waiting in line or camping over night for this because God’s arms are always open weather we have an iphone or not.

We do not have anything that can separate us from the love of God. God has given us everything we need and God has blessed us with all we have and God has made us who we are – and it is not the one who dies with the most toys who wins, it is the one who dies with the love of God in their life that wins and that is every single one of us.

Amen.

I finally did it — I knew what my reaction was going to be. I spent months looking up information about the Iphone. I checked out forums and I read all the reviews but I could not bring myself to actually hold one in my hand. I knew if I would hold one, I would never want to let it go — and I was right. I cannot believe how great the iphone is. Granted there have been troubles, but I don’t know if those troubles come on higher than normal expectations or if there are bugs that apple needs to fix. Honestly, I think it is a little bit of both.

But Katie the kids and I ventured to the apple store to get a new battery charger for our powerbook. But before I could check out the battery packs, I had to check out the iphone. It is so sleek and streamline. It is a beautiful piece of equipment. I quickly powered it up and unlocked the phone with just a slide of my finger. I did all the little tricks that Steve Jobs, showed me in his presentation of the phone and I was impressed. They had sample songs on the phone, and movies as well. I had to check those out. I also pulled out my Treo to compare sizes and the Treo was double the thickness. The speed was much faster than I thought it was going to be and the web pages were a thing of beauty.

I was nervous about the keyboard because that was the most mixed reactions from people that I heard. Some say it was no problem while others did not like it at all. I found it to be okay. Like the Treo I think it would be something that I would have to get use too but I did not think it was as big of a problem as I once thought.

The problem is the price. Being a poor seminary student I will have to be saving up my pennies in order to buy one. Like my Treo it will most likely be a Christmas/birthday present from a few people. I am debating if I should wait for version 2 at this point. Version one is out there and it is great but there are some things that I would love to see on the iphone. I guess is not 3G compatible so the fastest Internet is not on the phone. I don’t know if the next one would have that, plus I use a chat feature on my Treo and I would love to have ichat on the phone. I think there are web apps that cover that right now, so it would not be a big loss, but still…..

The thing that really got to me was this past Sunday when I got done with the first service at church there was someone showing off his new iphone. Now this was the first real live person that I saw with one. I was so envious. I wanted to take it and run away, but I did not. I just drooled over the fact that he had one and he was showing it off. He said he did not want to like it but he LOVES it and he has not had any problems at all with it.

But I guess until I get myself together and win the lottery or something, I still will be lurking around the internet on anything about an iphone and I will know it inside and out before that glorious day when I will actually join the club and become an iphone owner myself.
