Since we have come to the end of another decade I would like to take a look at the last 10 years and point out some highlights in my life. I have finished my first calendar year as a pastor and I can honestly say that I am in a completely different place now than I was this time last year. I made it through my “second” Christmas. I have to say it felt more like my first [...] For the last month I have been reading about all the thankful things in my friends lives through status messages on facebook. Many of my friends began by posting this: Let’s see how many people can do this. Every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it as [...] If it wasn’t for the Blog-off that I participated in earlier this summer, there is a high possiblity that I would not of touched my blog all summer. I really got out of the routine of blogging and twittering over the summer (except at the national youth gathering). I must say that I have missed posting [...] When we came to Baldwinsville last July, we intentionally decided to rent at house instead of buying right away. First we did not have the money to put a down payment on a house, plus we wanted to get to know the area and life in ministry before we decided on a place to live. Last weekend [...] I never imagined that life in ministry would ever be so busy, especially this time of the year. I thought that after Christmas there would be a lull until Lent starts. Boy was I wrong. Amidst he business of ministry, family obligations, and whatever else comes up I am really excited about the prospects of the year. First [...] |
