Region Seven! That’s right, the lucky people of region seven will soon be embarking on a journey with me in my ministerial vocation. Last night the seniors at The Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia worshiped with the community and then went to the Presidents house for conversation, anticipation and opening of our regional assignments. It was a [...] The debate about Kids in church continues throughout seminary campus across the United States. I am sure that individuals talk about it and there have even been committees formed to decide what we do about kids in church. In a recent class we had a discussion over this very topic. We had different opinions about it. [...] This past Sunday we did not use the regular lectionary reading. Instead we read the Passion story from Mark 15. Granted it is not totally different but I was surprised when I first saw what we were doing. Today I am doing well in my Lenten journey. I went to the gym this morning. I went swimming and I did about 10 laps, with various strokes….. Class was okay, I really don’t understand everything becuase Dr. Gafney goes WICKED fast and uses many Bibical names which I don’t know how to spell. [...] Wow — what an amazing day!! God I have learned more about you tdoay than I have in a long time. Thank you for bringing me here and meeting all the wonderful guys. They gave me so much insight this weekend. I love being where I am, feeling accepted and included. I have [...] Well its about 1:30 am. I am tired but I can’t sleep. I am in Eudora, IA on a men’s retreat.
